Cubs - 03 - all the way
Opening day
Hooray! It's opening day of the 2003 baseball season. It's really too bad that I live in a city where the two teams are likely going to have another miserable year. Who do you think is going to have a good season and why? And for you Chicagoans: What's up with these losing teams? They're almost as bad as my beloved Red Sox.

You know, every year it's “this is the year” with you people. When are you going to learn to be like us Red Sox fans and have low expectations?
Because we're midwesterners(sp) and we are always optimistic.
Red Sox maybe. Cubs, no. Dodgers, Yes. Go ahead, tear me up. Hey Matthew, I have a friend who plays for the Paw Sox. His name is Freddy Sanchez. He plays short and second. Hopefully he will make it back to the bigs this year. The only thing is, some guy named Nomar already plays short.
Nomah! I love that guy. Did you listen to the Cubs game, Gabe? I think they used up all their runs for the next month.
I'm a lifetime Cubs fan but they stunk last year. They made no majors changes during the off-season and had very little batting during Spring Training. I'm just glad that we can say they are currently undefeated and averaging 15 runs per game!
The Cubs have a lot of the tools in place - they just need to produce. BTW ESPN is officially calling the 15-2 win over the Mets a “romp”
Hey im a die-hard red sox fan from cape cod…..this year is it…lol
