MINI Cooper Supersprint exhaust

I just posted my review of the MINI Cooper Supersprint exhaust over at MotoringFile.

BMW H2R

From MSNBC (via Slashdot):

German luxury carmaker BMW unveiled the world's fastest hydrogen-powered car at the Paris auto show. Dubbed the H2R, it's capable of exceeding 185 miles per hour.

Sweet. The car's official page is here.

Mob

Yesterday was a busy day at MotoringFile. Gabe posted some images of, what he thought at the time, an MINI concept. In my opinion, the design is way too aggressive and trendy. Judging from the outrage expressed in the comments, I'd say most people felt the same way.

Then Gizmodo pointed to the post and things really got crazy.

After a couple hours, Gabe found out that it was an award-winning entry in a design contest. So he added an update to the post and even changed its title. Still, the outrage continued. Sometimes I think the “smart mobs” people have it all wrong.

Perjalananku

Does anyone know what language this blog is written in? I'd love to know why this site is linking to a picture of my old apartment.

mix of the week

Thanks to Andrew Grumet, I have a great new source of music to work to.

I'm so angry I can't think of a title

Emmanuel Goldstein, the editor of 2600 has written about being detained (via Metafilter) because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time during the Republican National Convention. I can't believe this stuff is happening in my country.

Navistar CXT

For the driver looking for more of a pickup — one that dwarfs the Hummer and the Ford F-350 — Navistar has just the ride for you.

The new CXT — short for commercial extreme truck and built from the same platform as the heavy truck maker's typical tow truck or cement mixer — will be sold starting this week by Navistar's International Truck & Engine subsidiary.

Disgusting. The first true Canyonero can't be more than a year or two away.
