When my Jimi died, I went with an old fashioned leather wallet. I really miss my Jimi. I’d also be interested in hearing about durable Jimi replacements.

a moment of silence, my Jimi... broke this weekend. :( the top flappy part that closes it broke off. it's still usable, but if i say, flip it upside down, all of my cards come flying out.

so i need a new wallet. recommendations? i loved my jimi, but if y'all are using something better fess up!

You know, I’m going to level with you all.. The Jimi was a very novel idea. I dug it at first, but now I miss having a regular wallet. Wallet 2.0 here I come…maybe. :O

I have just about worn out my Jimi wallet in about a year. When my new leather wallet arrives in the mail, ol’ Jimi will be retired.

I just read this post and then went to a store to purchase something with my credit card. As I pulled it out of my Jimi wallet, the little tab that holds credit cards in broke! Not the whole tab, but the little part at the end that curls up allowing the credit cards to slide in easily. It seems that it will be much harder to insert my card back in the Jimi now. I’m leaving on vacation in the morning, so I’ll have to deal with it when I get back. At that time, I will be in the market for a replacement wallet. The Jimi lasted less than a year for me, but I’m not going to let it ruin my vacation. Have a great holiday season to Matt and Jenn and all the regular readers of Matt’s blog!

Worn on a lanyard, the Jimi is uber cool for rainforest hikers and people who direct traffic in Seattle. As a front pocket wallet, though, it’s distinctly suboptimal — it’s rigid plastic and about the size and shape of a cassette tape case. Space is quite limited as well; when they say five cards and a few bills, they’re not kidding. Wiggle room it has not. For my money (no pun intended), the Dopp Regata 88 is a much better value. The Jimi Thread isn’t dead, it’s frozen! And as soon as we figure out a cure for credit cards we’re gonna thaw out the Jimi and it’s gonna be pretty pissed off, you know why? Have you ever taken a cold shower? Multiply that by about 15,000,000 times, that’s how pissed off The Jimi’s gonna be. I’m gonna get the Jimi, the Taxi Wallet, a Duct Tape Wallet, a fistfull of ones, drive dow%^%@13#^$3@#$*^&^NO CARRIER
