Taxi wallet

Those of you familiar with the Jimi post know that I was considering purchasing a taxi wallet. I ended up ordering a Royce Leather City Wallet. It arrived yesterday.

After I filled it will everything from my old wallet, I realized that it’s not really that much smaller. However, the size difference is enough that it fits in the front pocket much better than a standard wallet.

Dude, that thing looks like an old pocketwatch cover or a cell phone case. :-)

It’s cool-lookin’, but somehow doesn’t quite fit the image of the word “wallet” in my mind… Guess the traditional billfold went the way of the dinosaur.

When I look at that wallet, the first thing that pops into my head is this: why did Tony Danza always play characters named Tony? And did anyone ever get tired of the ‘Danny DiVito coming out from behind the tall counter to reveal his shortness’ joke?

    Are Nicole and Jeff related?

    They’re married.

If by ‘married’ you mean ‘engaged in an uncivil union for the sole purpose of scamming THE MAN out of cheaper car insurance rates’.

    Yes, that then.

I noticed that the maker of the Jimi still has a link on their website to this blog where readers may ultimately be convinced that the Taxi or duct tape wallet is the way to go.

It’s like Beta linking to a DVD website.

Darwin was right, it is survival of the fittest, and the Taxi wallet came out ahead.

Alternatey, the Flying Spaghetti Monster in His infinate starchy wisdom created the Taxi Wallet.

Either way, I think we all win.

i still do not approve of the taxi wallet (nor its price!).

and i still want to get a new jimi to replace the one my dog ate. i mean, i still use the broken one but it is much less effective when things can fall out.

[...] I love the taxi wallet that I carry around now. But sometimes it’s still too big. The Jimi is now on the wish list. [...]
