Jakob Nielsen has posted his top ten weblog usability mistakes (via Kottke). People who write on sites that aren’t totally personal in nature would probably benefit from reading this.
It’s been a while since I had a picture of myself on the site (mistake number 2, according to Jakob). So, this afternoon I set up the camera and tripod and snapped a few pics using the new remote control. Does it enhance my credibility?

That was a decent article, and a good read; marginally unrelated as it may be, I also thoroughly enjoyed his bit about the Top 10 Web Design Mistakes (esp. #9; opening new windows is BAD). I wish more people would realize this…
I’m the wrong kind of person to ask about credibility enhancement — unlike the majority, I don’t believe in that “IRL” horsecrap. The Internet is “real life”, or more accurately, a part of it. Whether or not having your pic present is a boon I couldn’t tell ya. Maybe it’s because I already know you / have met you…
…Or maybe I just prefer that shot of you caught in mid-beverage that once inhabited your About page. :-)
