It looks like Songbird, a music player built on Mozilla’s Gecko layout engine, will soon be coming to OS X (via Kevin Burton). If you want to see all the cool stuff it can do, check out this screencast.

I have toyed around with the Windows version on my work laptop recently. While it has some potential (auto downloading mp3s from websites that don’t have Podcast feeds is cool), it still has a long way to go.
I will revisit in a couple of months.
