What’s funny is that you make a snarky Buckley comment while this guy is doing his VERY best to follow along with pages 42-57 ripped freshly from the Jeff Buckley songbook.
A decent song, true enough, but let’s call a spade a spade, shall we?
I get the feeling that I might get some flak for saying this, but I think Show Me (via stereogum) by John Legend is an extremely beautiful song. On top of that, it’s great to know that there’s still some dignified R&B out there.
It’s too bad that the cynical hipsters at stereogum are so blinded by their stereotyping and Buckley-worship.

That’s not my point. I know he’s trying to sound like Jeff Buckley in this song. He even said so. It’s the whole “he’s not singing exactly like Jeff Buckley so he sucks” thing that I’m being snarky about.
That Stevie Ray Vaughan guy really sucked, too. He borrowed a lot of his phrasing from Albert King. But his playing doesn’t sound exactly like Albert King.
What, did you expect me to RTFA?
Psh.
Withdrawn.
Noob.
