I posted this video several months ago. This evening, I discovered that Family Communications had YouTube to take it down.
Of course, there’s a copy on Google Video, as well.
I think it’s a disgrace that Family Communications, the nonprofit founded by Fred Rogers, would do such a thing. He was on the side of the VCR when everyone else in television was against it. I find it hard to believe that he would have a problem with people distributing this video.
I think it’s also shortsighted. Family Communications couldn’t ask for a better marketing tool. They should slap their logo and URL on a copy and set it free. It’s obvious that people want to see it.
