It’s probably too late to get it organized for this summer, but I’d really like to try to get a group of Portland-area people together to play wiffle hurling (via collision detection).
I’ve been intrigued by hurling for many years. This would be an opportunity to give it a try without having to worry about taking a blow to the head from a wooden club.
Would anyone be interested in trying this out?

You should definitely get a game going. We play in NY and it is so much fun.
you should come play real hurling with us! email me if you want to try it out. we have all age ranges and skill levels playing. we practice two or three days a week.
