Shizzow for Android update

I’m loving the Shizzow API today. It literally took five minutes to add favorites functionality to the app.

Also, the app is now called Baken. Any ideas why?

Nice to meet you at the dev meetup last night. Client looks good!

Thanks, but it’s really just a prototype for a rather unsexy app. All I’m trying to do is recreate the functionality of Shizzow Mobile with the addition of access to GPS data. I know it doesn’t blow people away. I’m just trying to scratch my own itch, maybe some other people’s itches, and learn something along the way.

So I have to ask in general, how do you like Android? I keep hearing great things but at the same time am hearing about horrible battery life. What’s your thoughts? I’m kinda intrigued myself. :)

I like it a lot. And my appreciation for it increases every time I use it or learn more about it. It seems like there’s so much more you can do with it. Of course, this has its downsides, such as having a bunch of apps making wireless connections in the background and running your battery down. It doesn’t bother me too much, because I don’t usually go long stretches where I’m somewhere that I can’t plug it in.
