		<description>&lt;p&gt;To Matt. As counter agents we do not control the reservations. That is management. We counter agents keep our job because we have to feed our family. Also it is not our fault that people decide to keep vehicles longer than they said they would keep them for. Or other customers showed up earlier for their cars than what they said they would.&lt;/p&gt;

I expect that if I schedule a rental that I will be able to drive away with a car similar to what I asked for within a few minutes of arriving. It&#039;s reasonable to expect people to become angry when they asked for a compact car and are given a minivan or have to wait for &quot;over an hour&quot; to be helped. Sure, some people are jerks. But for you to think that they should keep their cool while waiting &quot;over an hour&quot; for help clearly shows you&#039;ve lost touch with reality. You have a &lt;em&gt;customer&lt;/em&gt; service job. You should be their advocate. If you want someone to blame for the situation, look at your company. Or, look at yourself. Always remember that sometimes things go wrong. Also if you make your reservation for 8 AM pick up and show up at noon most likely your car will not be there.&lt;/p&gt;

And I know sometimes you get a jerk on the other side of the counter. We as counter agents are just trying to do our job. If we are over booked its managements fault not ours yet we are the ones that get yelled at. Now imagine 20 customers one after the other yelling at you because of something thats out of your control. You would be a jerk too. But here is a tip (at least in the location where i work at) if you let the agents do their job and not scream at them they will usually help you out first and you might even get a free upgrade.
