Update 1/14/2010: This application is no longer available. Shizzow’s mobile site now has location services built in.
To coincide with today’s announcement from Shizzow, I’m now accepting requests for alpha testers for Baken. If you’re interested in trying it out, please e-mail me.
Congratulations to the Shizzow team!

I’m loving the Shizzow API today. It literally took five minutes to add favorites functionality to the app.
Also, the app is now called Baken. Any ideas why?
Embracing the clean slate

The few of you who actually click through from the feed may have noticed that the site is looking rather bare. While I liked the minimalist look of my old theme, I was starting to feel somewhat limited by the single column. I tried several times to get K2 to look how I wanted. However, I would always become frustrated and revert to my old theme. Tonight I decided to start from scratch and install Sandbox. If I remember correctly, this is the theme that I started with when creating my old theme.
Removing something that’s been in your life for a long time can be scary. It’s also liberating.
