The Gillmor Gang A podcast something like the Gillmor Gang returns!
Tag: Podcasting
As I’ve said many times in the past, the Gillmor Gang (R.I.P.) is my favorite podcast. Since the last episode in November, there’s been a hole in my podcasting life that TWIT just can’t fill. It sounds like Monday that hole will be filled. Steve Gillmor has announced that his new show, called Bad Sinatra, will launch on Monday. Can’t wait.
My favorite podcasts
I haven’t had the energy to write much lately, so I figured that I’d use a meme started by Dawn Foster to give me a head start. Dawn tagged Audrey Eschright, who didn’t know who to tag next, so I figured I’d jump in.
My favorite (currently running) podcasts, in no particular order:
- Interviews with Innovators
- CalacanisCast
- Meet the Press (audio)
- This American Life
- White Roof Radio
- TWIT
However, as great as these shows are, I still have a special place in my heart for the now defunct King of All Podcasts, the Gillmor Gang.
So, who do I tag? Let’s try Gabe, Lindsey, Josh Bancroft, and DB.
Update 6/28/07 11:39 PM: And Marusin, too. How could I have forgotten him?
The awesomeness of The Show is almost over. I’m going to miss it. Thank you, Ze.
Merlin Mann (of 43 Folders fame) has a new podcast called The Merlin Show. I very much enjoyed the first episode, an interview with Jonathon Coulton.
Lindsey, I think you in particular will enjoy this episode.
Daily mass readings are now available as a podcast.
I know this is a long shot, but do you understand Greek? The post by Andy Beard that I wrote about the other day is listed in the show notes for an episode of a Greek podcast called Newslens. I’d really like to know what they say about it.
I just found out that This American Life has a podcast feed. The other day I mentioned how good the show was in a conversation, then realized that I hadn’t actually listened to it in months. It’s amazing how radically my relationship with electronic media has changed in recent months. Unless it’s a sporting event, everything I read, listen to, and watch has to be available on-demand. Otherwise, I can’t give it my attention.
Jamie Oliver will start podcasting later this year.
TalkCrunch is the new podcast by Mike Arrington, the founder of TechCrunch. I’m downloading the first episode now. I’ll let you know if it’s any good.
