Wiffle hurling

It’s probably too late to get it organized for this summer, but I’d really like to try to get a group of Portland-area people together to play wiffle hurling (via collision detection).

I’ve been intrigued by hurling for many years. This would be an opportunity to give it a try without having to worry about taking a blow to the head from a wooden club.

Would anyone be interested in trying this out?

In about an hour, I’ll be on my way to the airport, then flying to Ohio, for a much-needed vacation. I will likely not have internet access, so call me if you need anything.

I wanted to mention a few things before I leave.

First, Chris Pirillo has announced that Gnomedex 7 will be held in Seattle. I’ll definitely be there again.

Tuesday night, Gabe and I updated MotoringFile’s theme. I’m proud of how it turned out. Please let me know if you see anywhere we could make improvements, either with the design or the code.

Also on Tuesday, I spotted my first counterfeit MINI. Take a guess at what it really is.

I think that’s about it. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Notre Dame defeats Michigan State

What a great game that was. I needed a pick-me-up after the last week. Things seem to be settling down this weekend. You should be hearing more from me over the next few days.

Also, I should remind you that even when I’m not posting to this site, I’m always posting to del.icio.us. If you’re already subscribed to that feed, let me know. I’ve always wondered who reads it.

Tonight’s match between Andre Agassi and Marcos Baghdatis was incredible. I’m sure it will eventually be in the rotation on the classic sports channels. If so, be sure to check it out.

CBS is going to be streaming all early-round NCAA tournament games for free. Good move. (Thanks to Rudy for the link.)

Kickball with the Decemberists

I was digging around in Flickr yesterday and stumbled upon some pictures of people playing kickball with the Decemberists. How cool.

Notre Dame crushes Purdue

49-28. Charlie Weis is starting to look like the real deal.

Notre Dame defeats Michigan

Cheer, cheer for Old Notre Dame
Wake up the echoes cheering her name,
Send the volley cheer on high,
Shake down the thunder from the sky,
What tho the odds be great or small
Old Notre Dame will win over all,
While her loyal sons are marching Onward to Victory.
